About the Tours
Exploring Ladysmith Harbour’s quiet little bay by kayak is a lovely way to spend some time, especially if this is your first time in a kayak!
Our 1 hour intro tours are perfect for first time paddlers, families and those who just want to get out and experience kayaking! You will explore the North-West side of the harbour, learning some local history and admiring the wildlife.
For the 2 hour wildlife tour, we will be paddling behind Woods, Bute, and Dunsmuir Islands and looking for a variety of air, land, and aquatic critters. Bald eagles, harbour seals, waterfowl and inter-tidal sea life are just some of the wildlife we see on a regular basis.

Tour Overview
Activity Level: Novice, Leisure
Tour Times: By appointment. We suggest calling at least 2 days in advance to book a tour time. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to tour time for lesson and fittings. Tours require a minimum of two people. (In the event that one person would like to book a tour, they will be charged for two seats).
Reservation Required: To avoid disappointment, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your desired tour time.
Tour Length: Wildlife tours are 2 hours on the water, plus 30 minutes for fittings and lesson. Please plan to spend 2.5 to 3 hours with us for the Wildlife tour and 1.5 hours with us on the Intro Tour. We will use at least one double kayak for groups of 3 or more.
Additional Information: Bring your waterproof camera, as you are bound to see some wildlife along the way!
Cost:
Intro Tour – $68.00 per person
Wildlife Tour – $99.00 per person plus GST
Youth under the age of 10 are half price.
Complimentary Introductory Lesson
Our certified kayak guides will fit you into your kayak, your PFD (personal flotation device), and provide a complimentary basic paddling skills lesson onshore, they will also help you in and out of your kayak. Our guides work with all levels of kayakers and enjoy making your paddling experience excellent by providing additional paddling tips while out on the water.
