Sea Kayaking

Exploring Ladysmith Harbour’s quiet little bay by kayak is a lovely way to spend some time, especially if this is your first time kayaking! Our sea kayaks have excellent stability and are perfect for beginners.

We will personally fit you in a suitable kayak and provide all necessary equipment. This includes a paddle, life-jacket and all coast guard required safety gear. In addition, a complimentary paddle strokes demonstration and safety briefing is included to ensure you feel confident on the water!

We welcome you to Sealegs’ Eco-adventure Centre at Transfer Beach. The safety of our clients and staff is a priority for us. We suggest booking rentals, tours and lessons ahead of time when possible. Please note that there may be longer than normal wait times for drop-ins. Open 5 days a week in May & June, 7 day a week in July and August – weather permitting.

Please be at the shop an hour and a half before closing time to ensure you get your hour rental time on the water.

We have NRS and Blu Wave inflatable paddleboards that provide solid stability while you tour the coastline and get a great core workout. These playful boards are faster and easier to use than most expect.
