Tours and lessons require 24-hour advance booking with full upfront payment. Cancellations 30+ days prior receive full refunds minus 2% card fees. Cancellations within 0–29 days forfeit payment unless Sealegs fills the spot (then a $10 fee applies). If your tour is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, we will try to reschedule. Rentals cancelled 7+ days ahead receive full refunds.
Summer weather is usually warm and sunny with highs in the mid 20’s Celsius (70–80°F). We recommend bringing swimwear and dressing for unpredictable weather, particularly rain.
Sealegs prioritizes safety above all else. A trip preparation package is sent upon registration. We will not go out on the water if the weather compromises your safety.
Both single and double kayaks are available on tours, though doubles are recommended for the novice kayaker.
Public restrooms are located at Transfer Beach next to the Eco-Adventure Centre.
We maintain a no-dogs policy per local by-laws.
No special athleticism is required — it’s for all shapes, sizes, ages (from “2 to 92”) and abilities. Reasonable fitness helps given potential 2-hour paddle durations.
Minimum multi-day tour group size is 4 participants.
It is recommended that persons be 12 years of age & older. Families are encouraged to inquire about special vacation opportunities.
Yes, private tours are welcome — there is no extra charge to book an exclusive tour!
Sealegs is obligated to charge a 5% GST tax and 7% PST tax on all products, and 5% GST on services.
