ELLIOTT'S BEACH 4.5 hour tour - includes lesson |
 |
 |
Our
4.5-hour Leisure Tour is the perfect way to spend a day on Vancouver
Island!
Ladysmith Harbour has a calm bay with one of the most picturesque
views this side of Vancouver Island. With the warmest saltwater
north of San Francisco, the harbour is the town jewel attracting
families and visitors from around the world. On our 4.5 hr tour
(9:30am - 2pm) you will receive a basic
skills lesson to ensure your safety and comfort. Our experienced
kayak guides will teach-as you-go (slow pace and in shallow water
to start). Once you are comfortable in the kayak and safety is assured,
the adventure begins!
We will travel together
to Woods Island where many of our harbour seals
like to poke around and check out visitors. Paddling along the sheltered
shoreline to Bute and Dunsmuir Islands
we'll stay in the shallow waters and seek out resident starfish,
sun stars, oysters, crab, moon snails, limpets. Look up and you'll
most likely spy an eagle as well as numerous other seabirds.
We plan our tours over
the noon hour so we can stop at Elliott's Beach Marine Park near
Evening Cove to enjoy a shore lunch (we cater
or you bring your own) Relax, sunbathe or perhaps go for a swim.
We'll return via the islands or paddle across the Bay to visit the
estuary before returning home.
