Ladysmith
is an oceanside community located mid Vancouver Island, 20 minutes
south of Nanaimo and an hour's drive north of Victoria. The town
has been named one of Canada's prettiest towns
by Harrowsmith magazine and is worth the visit to the community
formed in 1898 by coal baron, James Dunsmuir. The community's theme
is "Heritage by the Sea" recognizing the town jewel
to be Transfer Beach, one of the most beautiful municipal oceanside
parks on Vancouver Island. The community's downtown core has received
awards for its downtown revitalization project thanks to the progressive
efforts and vision of its community leaders.

Since wilderness adventures
do not come with the creature comforts of home, we try everything
in our power to make sure you are comfortable while we journey together.
We teach as we go to ensure you are learn the proper technique and
that you are comfortable in the kayak. Our tours have value-added
touches such as the vessel trip to Sechart Lodge to prevent
delays due to weather conditions. We don't ask you to travel the
back roads to get to the launch site. In the field, Sealegs' guides
take great care to provide meals
that are nutritious, delicious (especially desserts) and plentiful
taking special effort to satisfy special dietary requests.
We treat our clients
as we treat guests to our home. We want you to have a refreshing,
exhilarating outdoor experience and we strive to ensure you are
more than happy with your outdoor adventure holiday. If we don't
live up to your expectations, we want to hear from you so we can
maintain our relationship with you. Our business has been successful
because of our repeat customers. We have earned our customers' trust
and will honour this trust by continuing to provide exceptional
service and a great experience to our clients.
You've gotta have fun! You're on Holiday!!! That's another reason why we take the daily tasks of cooking, set-up and clean up off your hands. You pay for a vacation and a vacation you will have. When we say all-inclusive, we mean it.
Our professional guides are in this
business because they love working in the outdoors,
they love meeting new people and they are interested in recreational
kayaking. Our guides have a great sense of humour. The photo above

great love of basketball.

Our
company understands the importance of environmental stewardship
of of BC's spectacular coastal environment. We practice no
trace camping, we choose non-toxic products,
and we support organizations that are working to
protect the marine environment that is so special to us. One group
that we support is the Georgia
Strait Alliance. Whether the issue is salmon
farming, toxic pollution, endangered species or habitat loss, we
see the Georgia Strait Alliance working hard and effectively, to
create the kind of lasting changes that are needed to keep our coastal
waters and wildlife healthy. That's why our company is pleased to
be part of the Georgia Strait Alliance's Eco-Adventurers
Program. We hope you'll consider supporting the Georgia
Strait Alliance too.
For
every T-shirt
that Sealegs sells, $1 of that sale is donated to the Georgia Strait
